In the journal Under the Banner of Marxism, where the resolution on "Rubinism in political economy" was published, L. Arisyan's article "On the philosophical section of the Leningrad Problems of Marxism" was published. Meanwhile, the turning point in the discussion with Rubin took place in 1929-1930, and not in 1928. The dissection of the materials of the 1928 discussion in Leningrad turned out to be necessary precisely because they were published in 1930. The very fact of such publications in 1930 served as the basis for serious ideological accusations against the editorial board of Problemy Marxism.



In such an environment, an article by 27-year-old N. A. Voznesensky "Marxism and Rubin's Counterrevolutionary Idealism" appears. It should be borne in mind that it was the Institute of the Red Professorship, of which Voznesensky had been a student since the fall of 1928, that turned out to be the center of numerous discussions where Rubin's works and views were discussed.
